York's fundraising Bike event benefiting local charities
Raising money for your charity is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Please note that there is no "day-of" registration and that all riders must be linked to either the family fun ride or a charity. The goal of this event is two-fold: to help charities raise funds for their missions and to get lots of riders onto bicycles for a great social event!
1. Complete the 2014 Letter of Intent on your letterhead and forward it via email to Mike@DreamRideProjects.org. Name your team and determine if you would like your charity to host a rest stop along the race route, providing riders with healthy refreshments such as water and fresh fruit. 2. Pick up promotional rack cards from the York YMCA, 90 North Newberry Street, York 17401, add your charity's information label and promote! Contact Cori Strathmeyer for details
3. Determine the best way to raise funds. Options include setting up a fundraising website such as www.crowdrise.com (example: YMCA Dream Team) or using the generic Dream Ride Pledge Form to collect pledges. Charities are required to forward $25 per participant to Dream Ride Projects, the organizing entity, who is raising funds to improve Air Quality in York, PA. Remaining funds raised benefit your charity.
